I am trying to move from everything on local accounts to domain accounts. (Not very successfully.) I am getting an error about not being able to initialize the NT security subsystem when trying to connect to the config mgr. (V5 CSD 4)
I want to eliminate the 12 character limitation as a possibility. The user that was provided by the NT Admin was mquserfrc (9 chars), but if you add the domain, usa\mquserfrc then you have 13 chars, which might be an issue.
And the answer is a. The domain does not count. Our problem was that in the middle of everything, the NT admins had applied an NT security patch that made it impossible to connect to the security domain. They changed the policy and Bob's your uncle, everything worked.
