Hi, I'm an "infra" person posting this on behalf of Development.
We are using Websphere MQ 5.3 CSD11 (plus a few fixes on top of that) on Solaris 8, and Weblogic 8.1sp3.
Our WL connects to and reads/writes messages to a QM. On this QM, we reached max # of channels, and subsequent transactions failed. In the qm.ini, I increased the MaxChannels to 512 and bounced the QM. Now the application is working again, but I see that sometimes this number is 200 or 300, but it always seems to go back down.
I don't know if it's related, but in the application log, we see over and over: MQJMS1023: rollback failed. Is this what is called a "poison message"? We'd like to know what is causing this and how to prevent it. Thanks for any advice. |

Maybe the application is failing to explicitly commit transactions, and WebLogic is attempting to do the correct thing and roll them back, but is unable to do so because of transactional management issues on the WebLogic side or because you are using a client connection (and thus can't do real XA). _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

You should try to obtain an evaluation version of the Client Extended XA mqetclient.jar which does support XA and WebLogic. _________________ Jean-Marc |
