We have mq running on Mainframe. Now, we are developing an applicaiton to receive data from MF and send to aix for further processing. What is the best option?
The conversion option in mq is in channel right? is there any other setting in any other mq object?
While going through the docs, i saw that the data conversion option is not available in svrconn channel. Do, there is not way of conversion automatically. Is this correct?
Thanks for your reply |

Hmmm I do believe you are the first person to ever ask about conversion. You must be otherwise you would have found hits on a search right?
While conversion could be performed by a channel it is more usual to have this done by using a certain option on a certain MQ API call. |

I understand that. My question was, we can not do the conversion on svrconn channel. Is that true? I am trying to be sure.
Yes, I am proposing the appl folks that the conversion has to take place in appl.
Thanks |

And the WMQ Intercommunication manual says???
Or look-up the Define or Alter Channel commands in the WMQ Command Reference. It CLEARLY tells you what attributes are valid.
Everybody is getting VERY tired of you not making any attempt to do any seraches or research on our own. Most of the answers to your questions can be looked up / searched at mqseries.net or Googled in 10-15 seconds, but you make no attempt to help yourself. We are NOT here as your personal slaves.
