Hi,
I've got a cluster of which queue manager QM1 is a member. QM1 hosts a queue Q1 which is shared in the cluster and is available to all other queue managers in the cluster. But I'm not able to put a message onto a copy of Q1 on another queue manager(say,QM3) in the same cluster, from an application.
Could someone help me out here..

how to you try to put (what application, sample programs, ...)? what returncodes do you get during put? if rc=0, check the cluster channels.

did you check on the full repository that the queue is really available for the cluster?

Do you mean that all messages from applications connected to QM1, putting messages to Q1, end up on the local instance of the queue (Q1 on QM1) and none are delivered to remote queue managers?

At WMQ V5.3 this was the default behaviour; to always favour the local queue. Using WMQ V6 you can set CLWLUSEQ (queue/qmgr attributes) to allow messages to go to remote cluster queues even if a local cluster queue exists.

Cheers,
Ian

Kinf1 - Please spend a good bit of your own time reading the Queue Manager Clusters manual. It will answer most of the questions you are asking now, and a lot of the follow-up questions you will have.

And then you won't be asking us to duplicate what's already in the manual and won't be asking us to provide you with free training.
