We have a new MQ Developer that I am training. The first time we attempted to update a bar file in their toolkit we are running into a problem that I can not figure out.
I have a bar file with 5 message sets and one cmf file. We made updates to the cmf file and are attempting to update the bar file with the updated cmf file.
We open the bar file and delete the old cmf file. That works fine and I am able to save the bar file with out the cmf file in it. When we attempt to add the cmf file, it appears that we have no problems (i.e. we do not receive any error that I can see), but the cmf file does not add.
I have checked the security levels the workspace and do not see any problems there. And I do not think that is the issue as I can save it without the cmf file. Additionally, we can delete one of the messagesets from the bar file, and re add it fine. It shows up in the bar file as it normally would. It appears that this is only a problem with bringing in the cmf file.
Another point. If we create a new message flow project from scratch, and create the bar file, it does bring in the cmf file as I would expect. The bar file we are having an issue with is controled via PVCS and we have the Merant plugin to be able to communicate with the version control software. Which leads me to believe the problem may be related to the connection with PVCS.
Any thoughts, or ideas as to where I can check for errors ocurring.
We are running Message Brokers Toolkit for Websphere Studion. Version 5.0.2
We are running version 7.5 of PVCS |

Are you sure the message flow does not have a syntax error? Look at the message flow project from the Broker Application development perspective rather than the Broker Admin perspective, as syntax errors and problems get reflected in the development perspective.
After you have checked that and it is still a problem, you might consider this: we have also had the following problem when trying to build a bar file for syntax-free and problem free message flows: if you have a subflow that contains an input node, sometimes the toolkit will not recognize the msg flow as containing an input node (only flows with input nodes get build into cmfs . . .). For this case, we had to rebuild the referenced message flow project containing the common input node, and then rebuild the msg flow project that you are building the bar file from -- then the toolkit recognized it as containing an input node. |

Hi dthomps2,
Have u checked the event log, and the event viewer.
Since other flows are getting added, the most understandable error could be with the flow.
Regards. |

Make sure that the project has been "built" by Eclipse. I forget if the v5 Tooling had the "Build automatically" option or not, but however it's done, make sure this Build process occurs. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |
