Hi,
I need to know whether manual channel initiator startup is required or not. our MQ version is 5.2 and we are starting the queue manager and also channel intiator. this starts up two RUNMQCHI processes.
so I have a doubt whether we need to manually startup channel intiator process.
also let me know when a channel intiator process be ended meaning other the shuutdown of queue manager is there any other way the channel intiator process be stopped.
Thanks. _________________ Srinivasan for MQ discussion |

Hi,
Which OS are you using. A manual restart of the channel initiator is not required. |

Priyadarshini,
Im working in OS/400 and I think this manual startup of Channel initiator is because of Version.
the program Im using now has been coded during MQ's Older version probably MQ 4.0. I need to confirm whether this manual startup is requiured for version 5 also.
Regards,

There is no MQ Version4. But starting a CHIN is not required for MQ5.2 or higher |
