Hi,
Does the API Excerciser alwyas connect to the Configuration Manager through the SYSTEM.BKR.CONFIG SVRCONN channel or is it possible to bypass the channel and connect in another way (directly) or using another channel?
Many thanks

It can use the MQ Java bindings - specify the empty string as the connection host name and the CMP will connect directly to the queue manager without using channels.
Also, you can use the method MQConfigManagerConnectionParameters.setAdvancedConnectionParameters() to change the channel that the CMP uses to connect.

Hi,
Thanks. Would it also be possible to do this for the Toolkit or is there no way of doing that?
Thanks again

No, the toolkit doesn't expose the ability to change the channel name.
I don't think there's a way of invoking the Java bindings either, but am happy to be proved wrong |
