I am trying to find out how the JMSTimeToLive parameter works with the MQ message expiration field.

Has anyone useed JMSTimeToLive ?

Where do you see JMSTimeToLive. I couldn't find it in the Java manual.

There is an example of specifying JMSTimeToLive on this IBM developer works article about using JMS with WSIF:

It may be that JMSTimeToLive is only specified when using something other than MQSeries as a JMS transport.

And that reference describes TimeToLive as:
Quote:
Specifies the time in milliseconds a message can remain on the queue before it expires

Did you look up the definition of how the MQ Expiration is set.
