I need to write a Client-Side Security Exit (for authenticating USERID and password) in C++ and so far I am unable to locate the specifications for this exit. (looked in MQ Security, MQ Intercommunications, etc). Anybody know where this specification can be found?

Search the manuals for the phrase
Code:
security exit

This should give you plenty of good information. The results of searches for MQCSP and MQCXP should also be useful in performing the task you are talking about.

Depending on your platform.....
You could have inspiration from the following supportpack: IC72 for windows.
http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=171&uid=swg24006891&loc=en_US&cs=utf-8&lang=en

And depending on your needs you could also have a look on MS13 an old z/os exit. (http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg24000090)

You can easy combine some of the features.

I think you should have a look on MD0B (Exit simulator) http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=171&uid=swg24006527&loc=en_US&cs=utf-8&lang=en

how to authenticate userid/password on the oter platforms are available on the internet..... It takes some time to glue the pieces together.
It might be worth to study some of the manuals supplied by security exit providers for inspiration too.

The reference material about security exits are available in the Intercommunications manual.

You can also get inspiration from BlockIP2 (see link below), but it does not do the authentication.

You could also try to search this data base for security exit.....

Hi ivanachukapawn,

To do a proper solution including encryption of passwords, you will be spending hundreds if not thousands of hours developing & testing a solution.

A quicker path to the golden ring may be to buy a MQ security solution from an existing vendor that will provide you with support / maintenance & updates.

May I suggest you have a look at Capitalware's security solution called: MQ Authenticate User Security Exit :
