Hi all,

Is anyone out there using Websphere Process Server?

How does this compare with WBIMB (Message Broker)?

A question I have is for what scenarios is Websphere Process Server better suited for compared to the Message Broker

Thanks
WS

I believe. WPS is the Next Version of ICS and WorkFlow.

Message Broker is an advanced ESB.

dear all,

Websphere PRocess Server contains the functionality of ICS , MQ Workflow and WAS .

Hence in future you may not see any advance version of ICS and MQ Workflow . I am not sure about WAS.

To the best of my knowledge and the discussion i had with various people..

WebSphere Process Server replaces existing products

-WebSphere Business Integration Server Foundation
-WebSphere InterChange Server
-WebSphere MQ Workflow

and believe WAS is just a container for WPS....

Answering the question on the scenario in which to use WebSphere Process Server, the most obvious situation is very you have processes to be automated and which need human intervention i.e long lived processes.

This product is native SOA and the processes deployed are standardized to BPEL, which was also there in WBISF.

thanks
