Had a talk with IBM and during the discussion we were told we did not need to use IMS to connect to DB2. Something called MQSQL could help us. Just starting on this quest and looking for some help for those that have gone down this path before.

I am looking for information on using MQSQL. If there is some documentation, whitepaper, redbook or just a list of places to look for information.

MQSQL appears to be something used to send updates, queries to DB2 directly from MQ. I have looked several places and not had any luck find doc.

Excepth that's UDB, not zOS (and he's speaking of IMS)

It appears I my be looking for DB2 MQ Functions : XML EXTENDER for DB2

sounds like the MQ SQL is some sort of nickname

I have found many links using the search DB2 MQ from IBM link
