Help, I've been around MQ a good long while but not eclipse ... I'm trying to install WMQ v6 on a clean i.e. new machine ... my MQ install was downloaded and does not have eclipse included in a prereqs directory ... the MQ Launcher's "Software Requirements" says I don't have Eclipse Platform v.3.0.1 installed ... so I went to eclipse.org and downloaded the SDK (which is more than I needed I think) ... but I can't figure out what to do now so that the MQ install will recognize it ... ??? |

Go to the MQ media and look for IES folder , underneath there will be setup.exe file for installing eclipse eco system .. |

When you downloaded MQ, was there a "supplemental" download as well? I would expect to find the required eclipse in that. _________________ -wayne |

ok ... I went back to the download site and downloaded the MQ v6 install again ... don't know that I did anything different ... but now I do have a "prereqs" folder (like I've always seen in the past) ... and this has allowed me to install "eclipse platform" from the MQ install ... and all is ok
now having said that, I do think it would be good to know what the MQ install is looking for when it looks to see if the eclipse platform is already installed ... is it looking for a specific file in a specific directory ? or what ? |
