Hi, I am looking for a log on MQ, and I'm not sure if it's there. I know where the error logs are located - I'm looking for a log similar to that high level, but without the errors. The Trace files don't seem to have the data I'm looking for - I'd like to see time stamps, data sent, and similar to that. Does MQ create these? Can they be simply viewed with a text editor?
Thanks,
James |

I find that if I use fewer words, more of the other grand masters will quibble with me, and provide more information and a broader spectrum of opinion.
This doesn't necessarily end up being more helpful. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

I agree with Jeff....nope
However, on z/OS you can have SMF records cut that may help you out a little but nothing in great detail. I guess the theory is that cutting log records takes time and disk space and the applixcations themsleves can do it if you need it? |
