Environment: WMQ 5.3.0.11, WBIMB 5.0 Fixpack 4 on Windows XP Pro.
This morning when I opened my Message Broker Toolkit and clicked on a message flow, all I can see is xml (Broker Application Development perspective). Not sure what happened. Everything was working fine yesterday.
Has anyone seen this?
Any help would be appreciated. |

Right click on the file, and see what editors show up in "Open With ...". _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

Thanks Jeff.
"Open With..." has 3 editors "Text Editor", "System Editor" and "Default Editor". Default Editor has been checked. |

I am not seeing "Message Flow Editor" when I do a Right Click and "Open With" on the message flow. Hence I am seeing the message flows as xml.
Does that ring any bells? |

It's exactly your problem. The question is now "Why".
Did you change your file associations in Windows->Preferences?
Can you see the Message Flow Editor in the File Type association lists? _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

I had this problem ... a quick and dirty solution is to delete the metadata and everything should come up fine (atleast that was the case with me)

I've had this problem in the past, I believe a fix pack (about a year ago) resolved it. You might want to come up to a more current FP
As I remember, occasionally the xml that describes the message flow would get mangeled by the editor and then the editor would refuse to come up again. Try putting the latest FP on first and see if that helps. _________________ -wayne |

Jeff, I didn't change anything. It happened on its own.
Anyways, I installed Fixpack 5 and that fixed the problem (thanks, Wayne).
Thank You Guys !!! |
