Hi guys,
i've installed plug-in IA06 version 1.6, in WMB 6.0 win XP, after installing i noticed 5 more plug-in where now present [or maybe i did not notice them all this long] i.e LdapPlugIn, MercatorPlugIn, SendMailPlugIn, UnzipPlugIn and ZipPlugIn.
i want to uninstall all this lot. in the intallation guide for IA06 it does not mension anything about uninstalling. which manual can clearly direct me on this,
regards,

It looks like all you need do is remove the GetEnvPlugIn.lil from your lil directory and remove the workbench files you installed (ie, uncopy the files you copied when you installed it). Then restart everything. _________________ -wayne |

wschutz,
i deleted the lil file, but thats not the only think i did when i installing the plug-in [ the is the second step on installing the Supportpacs.Site under Help->Software Updates->find and install...
on the later stage i removed the reference which was created when installing the tookit files - and restarted the toolkit but the nodes are sill present under the SupportPacs forlder. [is there any documentation on this as i can't seem to find one.]
regards,
lehare. |

Try the "-clean" option when restarting the toolkit. _________________ -wayne |

Except lehare is using version 6 and not version 5, so it will be wmbt.exe instead of mqsisstudio.exe - and not .exe at all if lehare was using Unix. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

No, but lehare is using v6. So, if lehare WAS using Unix, then it will not end in '.exe'. And it might not even be 'wmbt'. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

uncopy file you copied when you installed ??
do you mean the Supportpacs.Site - which is installed by the toolkit? |

Any resolution to uninstalling tooling components of support packs? What directories need to be deleted and from where to uninstall a support pack?
Env:
WMB Toolkit 6.0.2 . . .
I need to uninstall support packs and re-install, but there is no method to uninstall documented. It seems that when I updated toolkit to 6.0.2, I am no longer able to use some of the plugins (e.g. support pack IA07) within the toollkit. . . . Error log under #workspace#\.metdata\.log spits a bunch of Java null pointer exceptions each time I drag the plugin to the canvas. I would like to remove support pack dirs without corrupting installation . . .
Any ideas? |

You have to remove the right folders and stuff from features and plugins directories, depending on where you installed them in the first place.
Then you have to restart the toolkit with the addition fo the -clean option to the toolkit command line. "wmbt -clean". _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |
