Greetings all

Having downloaded the appropriate V6 packages off the ‘net, I am preparing to install them on a stand alone test machine. Due to space limitations, I’d like to copy the source files to a DVD and ideally in the correct directory structure.

So far, I’ve been unable to determine the correct directory structure, could someone point me in the right direction.

Currently, I have the following source directories (named by a Contactor who has since left us):

Broker V6 for AIX
Broker V6 for Windows
IBM Agent Controller
MQ Series V6 for Windows
NEON Formatter Extension
Websphere V6 Toolkit

Regards
Lawrence

Lawrence, I'm not sure exactly what you are trying to accomplish. When you say "directory structure", do you mean like this:

Ah, that's the installed directory structure.

I wish to create an installation DVD for future use, out of the files I've downloaded.

I believe there is such a defined structure, as when I installed earlier, the installer could not locate the relevant files where it expected to find them (I should have made a note of them at the time).

I've found it

The source file directory structure for the distribution DVD is listed in document c3466212.pdf on page 36.

It'll take some decipherring...

Hi,
if you downloaded the software from the IBM Software Access Catalog
http://www.developer.ibm.com/welcome/softmall.html
there is also a documentation how to create a DVD

Search for part number CR2WWML and download
"WebSphere Message Brokers V6.0 Software Download Information (C87WXML)"

Greetings
Frank

Cheers guys,

I've managed to work it out from the document I mentioned above. It is currently installing, almost without intervention, but at least it can find the files it needs.

When it's done, I'll post the directory structure for those who are interested.

Cheers
Lawrence
