hello,
i want to retrieve an integer value from a table and assign it to a variable using select.
I am not able to do using ITEM clause...

How should i do it????

Hi archana,

Please don't double post.

Can you post the code that you are using...are you trying to store it in an integer or string...or are you doing a CAST atleast.

What is the error you are getting ?

along with ITEM use THE, using 'THE' u can retrieve a single value..

THE ( select ITEM ............. )
