I used mqsideploy command to deploy the bar file. The command was successfully run with no errors and when i saw the workbench for the bar file in the mentioned execution group, it was not there. And also the BAR files which were deployed to the execution group were also LOST??. Can anybody tell me what went wrong??

You can't see bar files in the exec group. BUT, you should be able to see the flows that were inside the bar file that you deployed in the exec group

I meant that i could not see the Flows in the execution group and the Msg Flows which were deployed earlier even they got lost. Since i didn't get any error message i can't share that with you. If any one faced this problem earlier please let me know or if there's anything that was missing from the command that can let this happen

1. Is the broker that you deployed the BAR file to running?
2. Have you previously been able to deploy flows?
3. Are the channels running between the configuration qmgr and the broker qmgr, or are both using the same qgr?
4. Are there any errors in the broker's syslog file?

Yes Everything is running fine. Once all flows got disappeared i again deployed them using the Workbench and they got deployed. and as i mentioned there's no error anywhere. Strange but True.

So, you can deploy the bar file from the toolkit, but deploying the bar file via the mqsideply command fails? Is that correct?

Are you using a connection parameters (-n flag) file or specify the connection directly (-i ipAddress -p port -q qMgr)?

mqsideploy -b WBRK_BROKER -e default -bar test -complete -connection C:\WBIMB\eclipse\workspace\LocalProject\LocalDomain.configmgr

Thanks in advance

I don't see a "-connection" flag in my documentation, it suggests you shoul be using "-n":
Quote:
-n cfgParameterFileName
(Optional) The name of a .configmgr file that describes the connection parameters to the Configuration Manager.

hi wayne
I tried giving -n as suggested by you but its not executing the command and throwing error

C:\Documents and Settings\db2admin>mqsideploy -b WBRK_BROKER -e db2admin -bar C:\WBIMB\eclipse\workspace\LocalProject\Test.bar -complete
-n :\WBIMB\eclipse\workspace\LocalProject\LocalDomain.configmgr

BIP1033S: Invalid parameters.

The specified flags or options are invalid: '-n'.

Reissue the command specifying valid options and flags.

BIP1032I: Deploys Topology, Topics or BAR file configuration data to the specifi
ed broker(s).
Syntax:
mqsideploy [-b brokerName [-e executionGroupName -bar BARFileName|-rmMsgFlow ms
gFlowName|-rmMsgSet msgSetName]] [-topology] [-topics] [-cancel] [-complete] [-r
] [-w timeoutValue] [-connection cfgParameterFileName]

What next now

Sorry, my mistake, that parameter has changed between V5 and V6. -connection is OK for V5.

Hi wayne
Now i tried the command i used earlier and sending you the whole thing and confirming again that i cant see the Msgflows in the workbench

C:\Documents and Settings\db2admin>mqsideploy -b WBRK_BROKER -e db2admin -bar C:
\WBIMB\eclipse\workspace\LocalProject\Test.bar -complete -connection "C:\WBIMB\e
clipse\workspace\LocalProject\LocalDomain.configmgr"

BIP1039I: Deploying BAR file 'C:\WBIMB\eclipse\workspace\LocalProject\Test.bar'
to broker 'WBRK_BROKER' (execution group 'db2admin') ...

BIP1520I: Deploy operations successfully initiated.

The Configuration Manager has processed the deploy request and initiated the dep
loy of configuration data to the following brokers. Active brokers: WBRK_BROKER
. Deleted brokers: QM_BROKER, Parul_Aunt .

Open the Event Log Editor to check the outcome of the operations. There will be
a separate set of log messages for each broker.

I cant c ny error related to config mgr or MB and no confirmation in the Event Log.

Just out of curiosity is there a reason for specifying the complete flag on every deployment?

You are rt. there is no need for -Complete and now i come to know that it was because of this all my deployed Msg Flow got lost as the explanation says "For a BAR file deploy, -complete states that all currently deployed message flows and message sets are removed from the Execution Group as part of the deploy". thanks atleast i read it after you pointed out but still not able to deploy.
