I have received the error also and I am trying to get it fixed with assistance from IBM. The error exists only in the Windows 2000 Event Viewer. There isn't any errors in the error logs or FDC files.
I have attempted to fix the problem with uninstalling MQ - hacking the registry and deleting any reference to the MUSR_MQADMIN ID, deleted the files, and re-installed. I also rebooted inbetween installations and installed CSD04. I'm am still getting the error.
I am installing MQ on Windows 2000 with an ID that exists only on that machine and had administrator right access. Any help will be more than appreciated. |

Hi,
You have to install MQSeries using teh one and only administrator user, there are some differnces between the administrator and any other user with administrator rights, sorry about that.
I've faced it with DB2 and MQSeries....
It seems that the installation went ok, but I couldn't start it up correctly, fitst after installing using the one and only (as stated in doc. yerk ), well that might be lift (seen from IBM)
Give it a try.

What do you mean the one and only administrator user. You cannot use the ID administrator because it is longer than 12 characters. Please explain further. |

I get the same error in the system event log. How can this be fixed? I have tried everything in the help docs, but the error is still there...
Thanks,
Rob |
