Hi
I have installed MQ6.0 CSD8 on windows server . Currently my log path is local .
But is it possible to network log paths with MQ6.0? _________________ Thanks and Regards ,

Why would you want to. You want to trust the logging and recovery of your data over a network.

What activities? As in "AMQERR01.LOG" activities? or activities that are recorded via "Event Messages"? You shouldn't be using the "Recovery Logs" to track activities. _________________ -wayne |

IMHO there's an adequate coverage of this subject in the *ix MQ Quick Beginnings manuals. Here's the link to the relevant section for AIX : http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/wmqv6/v6r0/topic/com.ibm.mq.amqaac.doc/amqqb0107.htm
In short: almost all qmgr data (including the /var/mqm/log files) should be local, for performance and reliability reasons. But some data (specifically, the qmgr admin log files) can be remote.
I didn't see the equivalent section in the QB manual for Windows - but maybe I didn't look hard enough. |
