Hi,
it must be a simple problem, since I didn't find a compariable posting. I checked my install directory, there isn't a jplugin directory. Although I did a full installation. I have version 5, fixpack 7.
thanks for any hint or tip.
BIP2241E: LIL not found for message flow node type 'ComIbmTraceNode' in message flow 'EX5C'.
The message broker received an instruction to create a message flow node of type 'ComIbmTraceNode', in message flow 'EX5C'. The broker does not have the capability to create nodes of this type because an implementation library for this node type was not found in the LIL path.
Ensure that the LIL path is correct and contains all the necessary node implementation libraries, including those supplied by IBM. Then ensure that the message flow and any nested message flows have been saved. Redeploy the new configuration to the broker ensuring that the complete configuration option is used. If the problem persists contact your IBM support center. |

What, exactly, did you install?
Did you run the product installer, and then install FixPack 7?
Or did you just install FixPack 7? _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

the existing .lil files are all under D:\software\ibm\wbib\bin, which is in the path environment variable.
Confused by the term 'LIL Path" in the error msg, I also created an environment variable LIL pointing to the above directory, with no aval. |

Is this problem with a new installation, or a change to an existing installation?
If this is a new installation, please answer my previous questions.
If this is an existing installation, then determine who came in and mucked with it, and make them uninstall and reinstall. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

many thanks thanks for responding.
it's wbimb version 5.0.7, in a winxp box.
I installed the base, then applied the fixpack 1 to 7, one at a time. |

Okay, so you only needed to install the base and then FP7. But it *shouldn't* have caused problems the way you did it.
Did FP7 install correctly, with no errors? _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

Yes, FP7 installed without error.
However, at the beginning of base install, it warned my against missing dependent ibmrac, msdac. Although both were installed successfully before that. People told me just to ignore them. |

Yes, you could ignore those errors.
Are you sure you installed FP7 for Message Broker and not for Event Broker? _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

I remove and reinstalled the base, then applied directly the fp7, the problem went away.
