Hi,
Hope someone can help on this one - I'm getting;
BIP8146E: Unable to retrieve the SQL primitives supported by the Database.
When creating a WMB6 broker, I have seen the NLSPATH issues on IBM support and this forum so I have changed this to include:
/opt/IBM/mqsi/6.0/merant/locale/en_US/LC_MESSAGES/%N
All the WMB6 profile is being set prior to the mqsicreatebroker command.
But still get the same error.
Strange thing is I had created a version 6 broker which was working OK on this server before and then deleted it.
The database has a new schema. I can't see any errors in the user.log or odbc trace.
There is a working version 2.1 on this server in coexistence.
AIX 5.3.0.0, Oracle 9.2, MQ5.3.11 |

Are the LC_ALL, LANG and ORACLE environment variables also set to their proper values ? |

I believe so - well I've compared them to a server that I can create a version 6 broker on and they all appear to be the same and correct. |

Are you using the Merant ODBC drivers in your ODBC.INI, or the Oracle drivers? _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

Turns out that there was a missing '=' char in the TraceDll line of the .odbc.ini file. |

i just had the same problem
turned out that my .odbc.ini was incorrect due to the fact that i used the default values for the trace options. in other words, the trace options in the .odbc.ini were not filled in.
so thx Zappa, i've could have searched on it for a long time without your tip. |
