Hi.,

I hav WebsphereMQ on Windows system. MQ is generating errors periodically right from the time I start up my system until shutdown. Due to this the trace(error) files are consuming the Harddisk space.

If i create new Queue Managers the number of errors increase ...!!!

What could be the pblm.., how can I eliminate it...?

AMQ1544, AMQ1644, AMQ1320, AMQ1608 and AMQ2464 don't appear to be valid error codes for WMQ5.3. That is to say they are not listed in the WebSphere Messages Guide for version 5.3. Try again.

AMQ**** codes generally start at 4000 & end at 9999.

Why are you running strmqtrc?

Im not starting any "strmqtrc.exe" or any of such exe files manually..

but they are generated by itself by MQ....!!!

Some of the other TRC files are....

Process : C:\IBM\WebSphere MQ\bin\amqztrcn.exe
Process : C:\IBM\WebSphere MQ\bin\amqzllp0.exe
Process : C:\IBM\WebSphere MQ\bin\amqhasmn.exe
Process : C:\IBM\WebSphere MQ\bin\STRMQTRC.exe
Process : C:\IBM\WebSphere MQ\bin\amqhasmn.exe
Process : C:\IBM\WebSphere MQ\bin\RUNMQLSR.exe
Process : C:\IBM\WebSphere MQ\bin\amqzdmaa.exe

Anc all these error trace files are of order AMQ672 ...to ..AMQ2468...approximately...

it would be REALLY interesting to see the text that went along with these messages:
Quote:
AMQ1544, AMQ1644, AMQ1320,AMQ1608,AMQ2464.....

and these too:

Did you just take over responsibility for this machine?
Did this problem just start happening, if so, whats changed?
Is there a chance that someone else started tracing (strmqtrc)?

Hi ..,

I am able to create MQ objects as well as the Queue managers also..,

and as u guessed one of the Error Docmt in path

C:\IBM\WebSphere MQ\Qmgrs\mirdev119!queue!manager\errors

Looks like this:

03/02/2006 13:48:58
AMQ9208: Error on receive from host mirdev119 (182.17.4.129).

EXPLANATION:
An error occurred receiving data from mirdev119 (182.17.4.129) over TCP/IP.
This may be due to a communications failure.
ACTION:
The return code from the TCP/IP (recv) call was 10054 (X'2746'). Record these
values and tell the systems administrator.

What is the reason.....!!!!

The TCP/IP return code 10054 is issued when the connection is reset reset by the peer.
