Hi, all...
We have been experiencing a large number of damaged AS/400 objects since moving to MQ5.2. It appears that the objects get damaged between the time the queue manager is quiesed and the machine is IPLed and MQ restarted (after the quiese, backups are taken, then the machines are IPLed). Historically, SYSTEM.AUTH.DATA.QUEUE has been the damaged object, but we have also noticed that now some (not all) transmit queues are being damaged.
Has anyone else experienced this??? If so, what was the root cause of the problem?
The two obvious areas to concentrate on are the ENDMQM and the system backup process...
Thoughts anyone???
Thanks in advance, _________________ Jim Solberg

Load all the latest PTF's (the original release of 5.2 for the as/400 is quite buggy). If the problem persists, report it to assist. |

Jonathan,
Thanks for the reply. I think we're up to date on PTFs, so it looks like I may have to persue with IBM...I'll try to recreate on a test box first.
Thanks again. _________________ Jim Solberg
