Hi,
What source control systems are people using with V6?
We need one that runs on Windows, on a central server, and obviously integrates well with eclipse.
CVSNT isn't supported by eclipse, and CVS looks like it's not ideal for running in remote-access mode on Windows.
Recommendations?
Cheers

mark,
CVSNT works properly in our enviroment with some special settings.
Subversion has a lot of advantage over CVS but when we started with version control it was only a beta...

I haven't tried it, but it should work. |
Using the companion to subversion: subclipse (eclipse plugin for subversion)
Works pretty good. Very easy to install. Quite intuitive to use. Little to no training needed.

fjb_saper,
Is subclipse a java based subversion client or does it need the native client? |

Don't know.
I just loaded it from the zip from http://subclipse.tigris.org.
As said it is the eclipse plug-in client for subversion.
Loaded fine and runs like a charm.
There is an svn perspective in the broker.

Last time I played with this, there was a pure java subversion eclipse plugin.
I don't remember the details, but I'm sure they're on the subclipse website! _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |
