I have successfully migrated my WMQ 5.3 CSD10 Queue Managers to WMQ 6.0.0.0. I am having difficulty applying the new Refresh Pack.
As a point of information: Prior to installing the Refresh Pack, I installed the ibm-java2-sdk-142.exe, and set it as my System jvm, so when I execute java -version I get the following:
Quote: |
java version "1.4.2_05" |
When applying the Refresh Pack, I received the following error:
Quote: |
Error during Refresh Pack 6.0.1.0 installation. Click Finish to end. |
Following this, I opened the MQExplorer and my queue managers were not displayed as they had been prior to the refresh. I backed out the Refresh Pack, restarted the MQExplorer, and the QMgrs were displayed as I would expect.
Insights? Recommendations? _________________ Thanks,

I was able to perform the upgrade from 5.3.1.10 to 6.0.0, and then add fixpack 1, on a WIN/2000 system. When applying fixpack 1, I applied the fixpack first, prior to the java update ( I don't know if this makes any difference ). I also had to make a registry change ( see IBM doc IC46920 ), as after fixpack 1 and before the registry change, some things would not start. |
