Using PCF commands you can achieve this (you might even be able to do it with MQSET, but I don't think so). However, most users let the queue manager start the sender channel automatically by placing a trigger on the appropriate transmission queue to start up the channel program whenever the queue manager attempts to send a message across that channel...
