My company is considering to update the fixpack 8 and 9. Do you guys have any suggestion which is better to go? Have anyone of you worked with the latest fixpack? We do not like to update without knowing the stability of the fixpack.
Please share your experiences.
tbanks a lot

The general consensus is that fp8 and fp9 are not where you want to be. The current fp is 12, but thats only been out for a short while. I'd suggest fp11..... _________________ -wayne |

That is the reason we are considering to upgrade from fp8 and 9. IBM suggested, to go to fp10 plus interim fix 46555 but I would like to suggest company to go higher version but I need to show my manager that the higher version is tested and stable. |

This is the reason why we would like to upgrade. Some of our servers are running fp 8 and fp9. We, therefore, are considering upgrading. IBM suggests to go fp 10 and IFIX 46555 but my point is if it is tested why not to go fp 11 or fp12. If you guys have chance to test, plese let me know.
thanks a lot

I mean recommends. Read the above link. It says:
Recommendation
All customers considering the application of Fix Pack 8 or Fix Pack 9 for WebSphere MQ V5.3 should apply Fix Pack 10 plus interim fix IC46555 instead.
But why not 11 or 12 is my questions. |

You need to look closer at that posting:

24 November 2005: Note the recommendation below has now been
superseded, please refer to the following update. |
Clicking on 'update', leads you to a new posting, where IBM now recommends applying FixPack 11.
Wayne has provided you with a legitimate reason for not applying FixPack 12 at this time. |
