Folks,
It may just be my system, but I find that when I return to the forums, I have to relogin (userid + password) even having checked the "remember me" check box. Didn't this system previously remember my last login? |

I've had no issues. I access the site from both work and home, and both machines remember my login. Of course, you have to make sure not to ever hit "Logout" or the system will force you to log in next time you visit, regardless of whether you told it to remember you. I'm using session cookies, so you might want to check the cookie settings on your browser. I haven't tested the 'remember me' feature on netscape, mozilla, etc., only IE. Why don't we discuss it further and try to get to the bottom of it? What platform/browser are you guys using? _________________ Brandon Duncan

IE 5.0
win2000
the same setup I was using on the old site
now it did seem to work for a while and then stopped, around the same time I defraggged and cleaned out my history folder and browser cache. But I would think the next time I check remember my login, it would work from then on, but it don't... _________________ Peter Potkay

Perhaps you should actually click Logout, because this may clear out something on the server side (which might be looking for the old cookie or something that is now gone), and then Login again with the 'remember me' check... Just a thought... _________________ Brandon Duncan

The earlier version of the forum used to remember Messages seen last
time. The next time I logon, I can see newer threads (or threads with
newer replies) with a different setting. It doesnt seem to be happening
now.
I am using Win 2000 SP2. IE 5.50.4522.1800 |

I think I may have a clue to the problem.
My bookmark was set to www.mqseries.net/phpBB2 but when I changed
to www.webmq.com/phpBB2 it started to remember my logon.

Yep that's right - I did exactly the same thing and "it" remembers who I am now. |
