50,000 DB locks when using LOB on z/OS

Hi,

We have a problem with our DB2 on z/OS where we have tables with LOB (Large OBjects). We use a flow WBIMB v5 csd 4 to access the DB. We have set the max number of LOCKS to 50,000 in DB2. After we started in production the max number of LOCKs is reached within hours.

Is it normal the broker creates 50,000 locks when LOBs tables are used?

My guess is you have something wrong with the transactional behavior and are missing a commit/rollback somewhere. Maybe you should use select with UR... Enjoy
