Have any of you had experience with changing the underlying QMGR or Queues that a process uses while it is in-flight?
I believe that the QMGR & QUEUE name is store in a process instantiation, but am not sure. I can't seem to find any material regarding this.
We want to change the Queue name a process uses to match it up better to our standards, but don't want to adversly impact any users.
Thanks for your time. |

If you are talking about UPES queues, then you can |

Your answer implies there is a case that will be an issue. When would it be a problem? |

I think your question is vague... What queues are you talking about? _________________ John McDonald

Sorry I phrased my last question poorly.
So you are thinking that when I change the SERVER & QMGR FDL any in-flight process should pick up that change, correct? |

Changes to Server and Queue manager objects are only recognized at startup time. I still have no clue as to what it is you want to accomplish. Please post enough information so that we can answer your question. _________________ John McDonald

My question is answered.
I thought that I had to worry about more than UPES, but I misunderstood our environment.
Thanks for your help! |
