I tested this on my PC with Java version 1.5.0_06-b05 and the application
Code: |
ivtrun -nojndi -client -m TCMQ -host localhost |
works.
Trying it on the other machine with Java version 1.5.0_04-b05 and it fails.
I'll try upgrading the version of Java on this machine before I log anything with Sun. Actually, if it fails after the upgrade then something must be wrong somewhere else.
I'll let you know how it goes.

I'd like to thank everyone here who helped.
The problem was with the older version of Java 1.5.0_04. Don't use it!
1.5.0_06 works like a dream.
Once again, thank you everyone. I only hope that if someone comes across this problem they can learn from my experiences (and not lose hair and sleep over it )
All the best,
Tony |

Glad it works, it looked very much like a JVM problem.
It is worth noting though that even though 1.5.0_06 works like a dream, it isn't a supported JVM at the moment! |

Good point.
I'll keep an eye on it and if I have any more problems I'll go to the IBM 1.4.2 JRE.
Thanks again. |
