Hi,
On a W2K3 test box, I had removed AuthorizationService for some reason.
Now want to test some security settings.
Did all necessary settings with setmqaut.
But cannot see any queues in MQ Explorer MMC while logged in as same domain user on the server which installed MQ.
Completely stuck now.
Any help will be greatly appreciated. |

If you removed the auth service and then re-installed it, anything you created while is was removed is not authorized to anybody.
I would suggest:
(1) remove auth service again
(2) backup your definitions with saveqmgr (ms03) and amqoamd -s
(3) delete and recreate the qmgr
(4) restore your definitions
and don't remove auth service in the future unless you really intend never to put it back _________________ -wayne |

The MQ services and the MQ explorer run as a user, which has to be set up via the tool DCOMCNFG. In this tool you can set the domain user and its password. This user must have authorities, to browse the group memberships of the domain users, to allow or disable access to the MMC.
Read the System Administration Guide (Chapter 10 "WebSphere MQ security", section "Guidelines for Windows 2000", subsection "When you have problems with WebSphere MQ and domain controllers"). _________________ Regards
