I am new to this MQ thingy. We are having a major production crisis with millions of dollars on the line. I don't know what I am doing or what is wrong and I sure as heck have not tried to fix it or troubleshoot myself. All I know is that it is not working. I haven’t read any manuals or searched this forum or the web for that matter. I don't know what versions we have of anything or what OS it is running on.
Please tell me how to fix this immediately. You are probably all working on your own jobs but this is more important.
Well ..I am waiting. |

OK, here goes.
Run the dspmq command. It will show you the status of all the local MQManagers.
If the status shows running type runmqsc. Do you see, "Starting MQSC for queue manager *****.
type end
What happens?
If nothing happens the MQManager is likely hung and needs to be restarted. If it returns you to your prompt in Unix or DOS then the MQManager is up, running and responding.
Asside from that, without more details regarding the problem you now face. I can offer no more assistance. _________________ Yes, I am an agent of Satan but my duties are largely ceremonial. |

It depends on what kind of dress you are wearing
@csmith
I think he is making fun of others who post this kind of questions. |

Hi
I suspect that solar flares has impacted the bit stream in the circum-flexor pipes in a negative way.... |

Or it could be cintrifugal data displacement. The spinning of the Hard Disk plates forced all the data to the outer sectors. _________________ Yes, I am an agent of Satan but my duties are largely ceremonial. |

Simple. Just recalibrate the lateral sensor array to emit an inverse tachyon pulse. It always works ... on Star Trek, anyway. |

Wow csmith28, I can't believe you tried to help me out, after the lashing you gave this guy. |
looks like there is still something good in him, he still can move over to the light side of the force...
anyway, i recommend to "recalibrate" something. that also works all time on the voyager starship. _________________ Regards, Butcher |

It was even better before Chris edited it to tone it down! _________________ Peter Potkay

Yeah, you need to recalibrate the Tacion Flux emmiters to compensate for the warp field fluctuations. _________________ Yes, I am an agent of Satan but my duties are largely ceremonial. |
