"managed node" and "endpoint" are names used by Tivoli Monitoring to define a hierarchy from the lowest lewel "endpoint" to the TEC server.
An "endpoint" in this case is a sort of agent, which collects data and sends it to a "managed node". The "managed node" itself sends the data to the next level (TEC or intermediate servers).
When you use Tivoli Monitoring, to monitor your MQ, you need an "endpoint", which collects the MQ events (a "managed node" may be an "endpoint" too).
Is this, what you mean?
