What is your recovery procedure or what are your steps in brief.
What all filesystems did you recover -installation files? broker specific file? etc.
Any differences at OS Level like patches etc
Any differences for any of the products.... MQ DB2 MB etc. |

I think, I'll modify my request :
I have the following under HACMP and I need to take a very good backup which let me start this EAI on another AIX BOX ( It is for a major recovery test ).
MQSeries 5.3.10
WBI 5.0.6
DB2 7.2.13
Actually, I took MQSeries -> everything's ok.
I took file system /usr/opt/mqsi/*, /var/mqsi/*, /home/mqiuser/*, and a hotbackup of DB2 Broker Database and ConfigManager.
The restore process is like this :
MQS, ok,
file systems, ok,
restore database with hotbackup, ok,
start MQS, ok,
start DB2, ok,
start WBI, KO !!!
My question is : is it possible to take a full secure backup for WBI like this ?
Because after Broker & ConfigMgr delete, recreate and redeploy, everything runs well !!!
Thx, |

AFAIK, for HACMP configuration /usr/mqm/* files should not be backed up instead should be installed on the other box also.
What I mean is the product should be installed on both the boxes, and then /var/mqm should be on a shared mount and backed up.
Similarly for DB2 and MB.
There is lot of useful information available in the document that comes with the support pac.
IC61: Configuring WebSphere BI Brokers for AIX with HACMP
MC63: WebSphere MQ for AIX - Implementing with HACMP |
