I've been asked to upgrade an application from VB6 to VB.net. This application sends messages to an AS/400 using Websphere MQ. In the VB6 code we add on the RFH2 headers to the messages and everything works great.
My question is, when I'm using the amqmdnet.dll do I still have to specify the RFH2 headers. Sorry if this is a stupid question but I'm new to MQ!
Thanks,
Fiona. |

If you had to create them and use them before the change to .NET, you will need to do the same afterwards.
In case you're interested, a cleaner API for .NET apps, which removes the need to compose RFH2 headers yourself, is the IBM Message Service client.

The .NET version is is still in beta, but is being actively developed / tested, and the team expect to release an update, making it a Category 2 SupportPac in the next two or three weeks. Category 2 means as-is, ie. no defect-correction support, so this may not suit you. |
