OS: Linux (Fedora core 3)
MQ V6.0

Unable to install eclipse platform(MQSeriesIES30-6.0.0-0.i386.rpm).

[root@localhost MQv6]# rpm -ivh MQSeriesIES30-6.0.0-0.i386.rpm
error: Failed dependencies:
mozilla >= 1.4.3 is needed by MQSeriesIES30-6.0.0-0.i386
[root@localhost MQv6]#

Verified the version of mozilla
********************
[root@localhost MQv6]# rpm -q -a | grep mozilla
mozilla-nss-1.7.3-17
mozilla-nspr-1.7.3-17
[root@localhost MQv6]#
********************

Installed "eclipse-3.0.1-3.src.rpm" for linux X86 but that didnt fix the problem.
Other, eclipse independent filesets are installed and was able to create and run queue managers....

any pointers on how to proceed with installing eclipse platform (MQ explorer)....? am I checking the correct mozilla file sets? I am relatively new to Fedora core...

On an FC4 system I have

$ rpm -qa | grep mozilla
mozilla-nspr-1.7.12-1.5.1
mozilla-nspr-devel-1.7.12-1.5.1
mozilla-1.7.12-1.5.1
mozilla-nss-1.7.12-1.5.1
mozilla-nss-devel-1.7.12-1.5.1
mozilla-devel-1.7.12-1.5.1

If you set up yum correctly, you might be able to install the plain "mozilla" package using

yum install mozilla

That was a quick reply for a saturday! thank you.

mmm! entering the world of yum and public keys! got few errors with keys not installed. working on this and will keep you updated

downloaded the following Fedora Core 3 updates from the link http://rpmfind.net/linux/RPM/fedora/updates/3/i386/MByName.html


mozilla-1.7.12-1.3.1.i386.rpm
mozilla-nss-devel-1.7.12-1.3.1.i386.rpm
mozilla-nss-1.7.12-1.3.1.i386.rpm
mozilla-nspr-devel-1.7.12-1.3.1.i386.rpm
mozilla-nspr-1.7.12-1.3.1.i386.rpm
mozilla-devel-1.7.12-1.3.1.i386.rpm

Installed the above updates.

Then MQ installation went fine! Was able to install MQ file sets MQSeriesIES30,MQSeriesConfig,MQSeriesFTA.

Time to explore MQ v6
