Just a general question: If you were seeing a problem with a java authentication, might that cause a backup in the ADMININPUTQ? |

If I recall correctly, when I saw that issue it was because of excessive messages being written to fmcsys.log. Have a look at that file and see if that is your case. Note that this was a while back, so my memory may be faulty on this. _________________ John McDonald

We saw a situation like this. The WF server was 99% idle because of an issue with our front end applications. But I was still unable to log in either thru the web client or fmcautil from the command line.
The only queue that had an messages was admininputq, which had ~50 and they were not draining.
My theory is this....
Our auth exit calls a web service on another box. If that web service call was extremely slow, (but not down) and the auth exit had no timeout, this might cause message to stop being pulled from admininput q.
And although fmcautil and web client don't use the auth exit, they probably use admininputq...and essentially are stuck behind the auth exit messages.
Just a thought |

I am sure that fmcautil uses the queue, dont know about the exit. _________________ John McDonald
