Hi,
I created a flow to access DB2 on OS/390 from WMQI v2.1. An error occurrs sometimes. Following is an copies of the error. If anybody knows about it, please let me know.
Database error: SQL State '40003'; Native Error Code '-30081'; Error Text '[IBM][CLI
Driver][DB2] SQL30081N A communication error has been detected. Communication
protocol being used: "TCP/IP". Communication API being used: "SOCKETS". Locat
ion where the error was detected: "". Communication function detecting the erro
r: "recv". Protocol specific error code(s): "*", "*", "0". SQLSTATE=08001: EID

Looks more like a network or TCP/IP problem to me... |

The flow sometimes works fine. I have got some data from the mainframe.
I have no idea why it happens sometimes daily. We guess maybe connection timeout. If it's the case, what action starts it again? |

Fanny, the error you are experiencing may have to do more with DB2
rather than MQSI. If you have at least CSD1 installed on your
WMQI 2.1 system, then WMQI should be handling the error properly.
If not, I recommend that you download and install the latest CSD
for WMQI. It can be found at
http://www-.ibm.com/software/ts/mqseries/support/summary/mqsi.html
The fix involves the way that MWMQI handles the communication error.
As for why this happens, I have seen where a DELETE or an UPDATE
command was issued against a non-existant row in the table, and is
an issue with DB2 and not with WMQI |
