Hello,
Has anyone installed WMQ v6.0 enterprise-wide? Am trying to gauge whether WMQ v6.0 is ready for prime-time yet. We are a huge MQ shop and are looking to adopt the latest toolset out there...
Also if already deployed to Production, what were the battles, if any, in migrating the v5.3 apps to v6.0?

Just starting here.
Approximately 400 queue managers, 70 of them on zOS and 20 on Windows the rest on 4 varieties of Unix/Linux.
We're setting up a process for an enterprise deployment. Similar to what we did for v 5.3.
With 5.3 we waited to csd03 before we did most of our deployments, then saw some fixes and did csd04 on most of them. We've consistently added queue managers since then and now have a mix of maintenance levels on Unix.
This time we'll probably get started in 2Q06 and finish sometime in 2007.
So, no experience yet here either.

Thanks tkane for the response.
38 hits in 2 days and just one reply....Is this because WMQ v6.0 is yet to take off..or are all MQ Gurus on this forum vacationing in Hawaii and/or are too busy to talk about their experiences with v6.0?

I believe its because we are all so busy testing 6.0 and supporting 5.3 in our production environments.
