Hi guys,
I have a config mgr and a remote broker. The channels and everything was set up. The environment worked.
Lately I had to recreate my config manager. Now that I have recreated it (including the database) I created a new domain in the toolkit and added the remote broker.
The broker is added successfully but only a default excution group appears below it...the existing execution groups aren't.
Am i missing out on something ? Do i have to import some thing or run some command ?
Or do i need to recreate the execution groups, which will clash as they already exist on the Broker.
Regards.

You need to recreate the broker. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

In v5 once you create a broker and add it to a domain , it is forever attached to that particular configmgr. You can't switch it to a different configmgr because the configmgr creates a uuid for the broker when you add it to the domain. The broker uuid gets stored in both the configmgr/broker databases.
In your case, you recreated the configmgr including its database and so the old broker can't be added to this new configmgr due to uuid mismatch.
Had you taken a backup of the old configmgr database and used it for your new configmgr when you recreated it, it would have been possible for you to use your existing broker.
Thanks.

That should have worked, but I had a slightly different scenario, where the Test environment toolkit was linking to the Devt environment ConfigMgr and through that linked the Devt and Test Brokers.
And I had to release my Devt ConfigMgr PC which led to a problem of not being able to connect to the Test Broker also.
So had to recreate the Broker.
All working well now.
