I've been trying to load a Java program into an Oracle 9.2 database so I can call it from a pl/sql procedure. The program uses MQ Series jars com.ibm.mq and connector. I have tried to load the jars but get several errors stating that it cant resolve (find) most of the classes. I've tried loading all of the other jars from our MQ Series server, in several different orders, but still cant get them loaded sucessfully. I didnt have much luck in the Oracle forums with this, so I'm hoping the MQ masters can come through. Thanks.

Jeff

You need probably all the jars from /opt/mqm/java/lib

Enjoy

Is that directory supposed to be part of the MQ installation? I cant find it anywhere on the server. I searched for jar files in the IBM install directory and found the following of which I tried loading in different orders unsucessfully: com.ibm.mq.jar, com.ibm.mqbind.jar, com.ibm.mqjms.jar, connector.jar, fscontext.jar, jms.jar, jndi.jar, jta.jar, ldap.jar, and providerutil.jar. Also, could it be a version issue? MQ Series 5.3 and Oracle 9.2.0.6. Thanks.

Well as you are calling the code from a procedure the code running the procedure will need to have all these jars on the CLASSPATH.

Possibly the user starting the DB, before the DB gets started.

Talking about Oracle we run 5.3 CSD06 with the Oracle Messaging gateway.
That means that oracle uses AQ and the gateway moves the messages between MQ and AQ or AQ and MQ.

Enjoy

Thank you. I've been considering looking into AQ but have not found much detailed documentation. Can you point me to a good spot?

Thanks again
