We are looking for a Lead Designer/Senior OS/390 Application Developer to join our Data Services Group. Lead Designer will be doing mostly (75%) coding and the other 25% will be helping with Architecture and Design. Daily responsibilities include: defining a solution based on business requirements; creating and documenting design for solutions, design includes pseudo-code; creating a project plan; submit metadata definitions to metadata team; writing code; working with DBAs for performance evaluation, size objects, i.e. tables, MQs; resolving production issues for application processes developed in group; creating and documenting test plans; unit and Integration testing; documenting test results; maintaining current code in production.

Skills Required

Interested candidates should have the following skills: 5-10 years of Technical experience Mainframe experience, focused on DB2. Candidates should have experience with Stored Procedures and building common modules accessible by the enterprise groups. Designer will build tool kits to be used by the Application Developers so that they can access the data. Also have experience with Cobol, CICS, MQSeries, REXX â€“

Skills Desired

Knowledge of Object-oriented technolgy .NET, Java, C++ would be helpful. Skills in Data Warehousing tools, ETL, BI, would be beneficial. Brokerage/Financial industry experience is preferred.
