Enterprise Application Infrastructure â€“ Messaging Manager REPORTING RELATIONSHIP The Messaging Manager will report to the Head of Enterprise Application Infrastructure Services (EAI) for Morgan Stanleyâ€™s retail business. This position will manage the EAI Messaging team consisting of several employees architecting, designing and building system messaging services. Specific duties will include: Develop the EAI Messaging team charter and membership. Develop the EAI Messaging methodology including appropriate measures and metrics to ensure business impact. Develop a messaging architecture that supports the retail business. Ensure the communication of messaging services across the technology groups. Ensure appropriate training and education for messaging across the IT team. Develop technology alliances and partnerships with IT teams.

CANDIDATE PROFILE The successful candidate will have a broad IT background, with deep knowledge of messaging technologies. The successful candidate will have experience with system to system messaging and with diverse products and protocols including IBM MQ Series, OFX, SWIFT, and FIX. He or she will have experience deploying and managing these systems in both a distributed and mainframe environment. Additional characteristics should include: High degree of technical awareness. Proven ability in the development of technical partnerships. Proven ability to lead a team through large and technically intricate projects. Sound understanding of infrastructure and security technologies. Excellent communication skills.

PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS The successful candidate will be a highly intelligent and self-confident and possess a high degree of technical acumen, especially in tools development.
