QMA is running on Node1. Node2 is passive, no QMs.

Apply the CSD to Node2, and reboot Node2. Swing QMA from Node1 to Node2. This manual failover period is your only downtime. Once the QM is running on Node2, apply the CSD to Node1, and reboot Node1. Done.

You should neither get errors from having different CSD levels in the same MSCS cluster nor from having different CSDs in the same MQ cluster.
