Hello,
I am trying to install WMB 6.0 on a windows machine and have a problem.
While installing the software at the time of creating the mqm and mqbrkrs groups it throws an error which says 'mqsisetsecurity.exe' encountered a problem.
The broker gets installed completely but none of the groups are created and I cannot create a configmanager because of this problem as the service userid and the password that i provide in the mqsicreateconfigmgr command should be a member of these groups.
Can anyone please help?
I installed WMB 6.0 on many other windows and AIX machines but never came across this problem.
Thanks in advance. |

Do you have admin rights on the box?
Can you manually create a user/group |

Yes. I am using db2admin to install and create the components of the broker.
I tried creating the groups manually and adding the db2admin user to the groups but did not help.
I have problem while installing the software itself.
Doesn't the db2admin user that is created in the process of DB2 installation have enough rights for WMB installation? |

Is DB2ADMIN part of the administrators group? |

Check if the user has permissions to install into the folder where ever you are installing to ?
Do you have the install log file ? If yes, post its content here - we can have a look at it . If your issue is solved - let us know the solution you adopted. |

I opened a PMR with IBM and they suggested me that Novell Client which is my domain controller is bot supported by Message Broker.
But I have already installed WMB on a machine which has Novell Client.
Also, Is there any minimum requirement of the memory for WMB installation.
The only difference i find between the machine which has WMB succesfully installed and the one which has problem is the same memory.
The one which has WMB is 1 geg and the one which has the problem is 1/2 a geg.
Does this matter? For version 5.0 512 MB memory was sufficient.
Does this change for the new version??? I haven't seen anything stating this in any document |

As i mentioned in earlier post, you actually should be looking at the installation logs, that will give you an understanding of the problem.
i dont think memory should be a contraint for installing a s/w on a machine. memory will pose problems when a real system starts functioning. |
