Hi All,
i m getting the following error msg in log file
AMQ9228: The TCP/IP responder program could not be started.
EXPLANATION:
An attempt was made to start an instance of the responder program, but the
program was rejected.
ACTION:
The failure could be because either the subsystem has not been started (in this
case you should start the subsystem), or there are too many programs waiting
(in this case you should try to start the responder program later). The reason
code was 0.
what is the reason for this pbm & how to resolve it.

Hi,
I think the error messages previous to this in the error logs could give you more information on the error.
You can also check the error messages at the remote end.
Ensure that the channel is defined and the listner is running.

thanks a lot for the reply
This complete message is as follows. Mqseries was working fine. Suddenly
i got the log full of this error. I m not getting why. On the forum someone suggested to upgrade it with csd7 or csd8.
Pls help me out.

This is essentially due to multiple causes coming all together:
a) a network problem or apps not closing properly their channels on the remote qmgr
b) the remote target being out of channel handles.
c) the local qmgr trying to start a channel to the otherwise busy remote (max chls).

Hi,
Are you using a SVRCONN channel? How are you connecting to remote queue manager ? Is the listner at the remote end running ?
Did you check the error logs at the remote end ?
