Hi,
Created one databse EXDB, removed it from DB2 for some reason.
Now the problem is DB2 is not accepting the same name EXDB for the new database. I tried to find it in regedit but it is not there.
Can anyone tell me a simple way to create a new database(EXDB).

Hi,
I used catalog and drop commands.
using this i cataloged the DB with alias name and dropped it.
Now i created it again with the same name.

How did you delete it?

What do you see if you do this:
Code:
db2 list database directory

Try:
db2 catalog database EXDB
db2 drop database EXDB

Hi

DB2 and MQSeries are different products (although they do share some similarities - apparently the original MQ logging mechanism was pinched from DB2). Someone here might be knowledgeable on DB2 but you would be better off posting your query on a DB2 forum, e.g:
