Hi!
I've tried using JMSAdmin to define qcf/queues on Websphere AS v6.
All seems to be OK, I could see all objects in JNDI, and sending a test message works fine.
BUT:
1 - I can't see nothing of what I've defined in the Admin Console
2 - After a restart of the server all definitions are gone .
What did I miss?
Alexey. |

You missed that you shouldn't use JMS admin with any version of WAS later than version 4 - for exactly the reasons you're seeing. JMSAdmin puts stuff in a non-persistant namespace. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

prefix your jndi names with "cell/persistent" (it is written somewhere in Websphere documentation). Then your references will be stored in a perstistent location inside the directory. Of course, you have to also this prefix when you would want to retrieve your refrences.. |

Or just use the WAS admin console, or wsadmin scripting, and have the names you want with the persistance you want.
Whatever seems easiest, really, I guess. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |
